Phase 2: Concept/Context Workshops
Pre-Workshop Readings
Participants are given selected reading assignments to prepare for Concept/Context Workshops discussions.
Concept/Context Workshops (four days)
Four one-day sessions highlight need-to-know essentials of business system management:
Morning presentations are a tight series of university-level survery courses introducing participants to the fundamentals of business system management. Based on previous meetings with your organization's leadership, The BSL instructors tailor the information presented to your specific situation.
Afternoon sessions explore how this newly learned information might be applied to real challenges or opportunities in your organization. Typically a guest speaker from the highlighted function (e.g., the head of operations) kicks off the session. Next participants sort through the material from the learning modules, identifying aspects most relevant to the business situation described by the guest speaker. Then they start outlining potential projects that promise real value to the organization. The end result is a "to-do" list, or a "must-do" list, ready for action by your organization.
Concept/Context Workshops can be scheduled to run consecutively during one single week, or over a two-, three- or four-week period.
